Everywhere the signs are appearing that we are headed for climate catastrophes of epic proportions.
This video is from earlier today in Matheson Hammock, Miami in a parking lot of a restaurant. This is now a regular occurrence during king tides. Low lying coastal areas are beginning to feel the steady rise of sea levels caused by melting arctic ice caps.
The parking lot for #RedfishGrill in #MathesonHammock sits appx 1.9 ft above sea level. This video from 10:30 am shows the parking lot under at least 4-6 inches of water. #KingTide of appx 2.5 ft @BMcNoldy pic.twitter.com/HX2twnHUSo— Xavier L. Suarez (@XavierLSuarez1) September 29, 2019
This is not even during a storm surge.
“The economic effects will be devastating: Zillow Inc. estimates that six feet of sea-level rise would put a quarter of Miami’s homes underwater, rendering $200 billion of real estate worthless.” (Miami Will Be Under Water Soon. Its Drinking Water Could Go First)Millions upon millions of people globally are going to be displaced.
